Typical 3-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara: Depart your Nairobi hotel or airport at 7:30 AM for a scenic 5 to 6-hour drive down the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your camp/lodge for lunch, relax, and head out for an afternoon game drive from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive: Spend the entire day deep inside the reserve with a picnic lunch. This maximizes your chances of spotting the Big Five and, if visiting between July and October, witnessing the Great Migration River crossings. [
Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi: Enjoy an early morning game drive or a cultural visit to a local Maasai village. After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

This 2 night, 3 day tour includes road transport from Nairobi with up to four private Safari game drives inside the reserve. The trip may also include extra options such as a visit to a Maasai village. Full day game drives can be had at no extra charge for the second day of the itinerary in Masai Mara.

The typical Safari Itinerary is listed below. Note that prices vary depending on the month or season of travel, with July to October being peak season while April to mid-June is low season.

Day 01 :

Start of your Safari from Nairobi

Your Driver-Guide reports to your hotel for the start of the safari to Masai Mara with a 7.30am to 8am departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Maasai Mara, Kenya’s famous game reserve (5hrs drive).

You will be in a private safari vehicle. Stop for some time at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint on the way, to enjoy the amazing views of the largest Valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch at your lodge or camp.

The afternoon game drive at 3.30pm allows spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest. Return to your lodge by 6.30pm.

Day 02 :

Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

You will be taken on two safari game drives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, followed by breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. The wildlife is usually more active during these times of the day.

Your game drive timings will be flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon or joining our volunteers. You may also choose to have a full day game drive with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 03 :

Masai Mara -to Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast and check out by 8.30am, depart for return road transfer back to Nairobi. (As per the latest park rules, all visitors are expected to exit the park before 10am). Expected time of arrival in Nairobi early afternoon (typically by 2.30pm). Drop off at your hotel or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
